La Palma

La Palma is one of Spain’s Canary Islands, off northwestern Africa. Its rugged, forested terrain is dotted with volcanoes like Teneguía and Cumbre Vieja. The island's capital, Santa Cruz de la Palma, is a port town with narrow cobbled streets and houses with wooden balconies. The Caldera de Taburiente National Park has a huge crater-shaped formation and is covered in pine forest and cut by waterfalls.

La Palma is the hikers’ paradise. The Island Network of Paths, which covers the entire territory like a spiders web, now runs to almost 1,000 kilometres, all fully indicated with coloured waymarkers, signposts and information panels

The extraordinary natural beauties of La Palma make it an island full of surprises. The scenery is one of its chief natural resources, and demonstrates the island’s environmental health.
The astonishing landscapes and indigenous flora and fauna species inspire visitors to explore every corner of this spectacular island. And its well cared for environment makes a perfect backdrop to enjoy outdoor activities, in contact with nature.

What Others Said...

The hotel was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Food excellent, and good choices. Brill, after my visit last August I returned Easter and again this August. Jill goes out of her way to accommodate all levels and is very perceptive. There were plenty of stops to look at the scen ery which is emphasized by both Jill and Tom. To add Toms knowledge of the local plants. I did feel more relaxed returning, but only did so because of my previous experience. Thanks for a great time. It felt it was like going home. Two great people who put everything into making the holiday great. Thanks Jill and Tom, see you in the new year.
